Bellingham

Bellingham is a community located in the southern part of Massachusetts.  Medway borders the northern part of Bellingham with Franklin and Wrentham on the eastern side.

George Fairbanks Partridge began documenting Bellingham's history from 1719-1919, and he wrote and published a book that is available for purchase on Amazon.com.

The story does not end there. Bruce W. Lord, in his attempt to continue the research of Bellingham's history delved deep and recorded his findings beyond 1919 and it is posted on the town of Bellingham's website.  It is an extensive read so be prepared to sit awhile.

Now back to the present.  Bellingham's location on Rte. 495 appeals to many who need easy access to the Mass. Pike, Rt. 95, Rt. 1 and 1A, for those who need to commute to Providence, Boston or Worcester areas. The MBTA is a short distance from the highway in nearby Franklin with access to Boston at South Station.

An interesting fact unique to Bellingham is that it is considered to be part of both the Providence metropolitan area and the Boston-Cambridge-Quincy metropolitan statistical area. This data is used to monitor economic growth of the area.

Economic growth has brought two shopping centers with leading brand stores such as Walmart, Whole Foods, Market Basket, Barnes and Nobles and many more located at the Rt. 495/Rt.126 intersection. Bellingham's growth and affordability has revitalizated the southern part bringing new life and activity to the community. The median income for households is $64,496 while the median income for a family is $72,074.

Bellingham offers three elementary schools; Stallbrook, South Elementary and Clara Macy. One middle school, Bellingham Memorial and the last stop in public education is the Bellingham High School and the Paul J. Primavera Education Center.

There has never been a better time to buy a home in Bellingham. There is a wide range of residential options in a range of prices to satisfy your needs.
